Leeds City Credit Union offers competitive loans as part of their service.  Don’t just take our word for it - the figures speak for themselves!

• Loan interest varies between 1% and 2% per month on the reducing balance. However the rate is dependent on the member’s personal circumstances and credit history.
• As you pay off your loan you should continue to save - leaving you better off than when you started!
• Loans include Member life insurance at no extra cost.
• Members may also take optional Payment Protection Insurance at terrifically low rates, if you work more than 16 hours a week. There are two levels of cover - Accident & Sickness (AS) and Accident, Sickness & Unemployment (ASU) Click here for more information

Handiloan Repayments

Handiloans accrue interest at 2% per month (ARP 26.8%).  The table below gives examples of repayment amounts. For more information on our Handiloan click here.

Early Repayment In Full

• There are no penalties for early repayment of a Credit Union loan. 
• Simply deposit the required amount into your savings and complete the appropriate form.  You MUST complete the form to authorise your savings to be used to clear the loan balance.
• We cannot accept any payments off the loan balance by switch or credit card.
• PLEASE NOTE THAT 8 WORKING DAYS ARE REQUIRED FOR CHEQUE CLEARANCE. 
• Interest will continue to be added for the waiting period until the cheque has cleared.
• If you wish to reduce your payments into the Credit Union once a loan has been repaid - IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO DO SO. Please request the appropriate form according to your method of payment. 
• If the payment is not adjusted the funds received will be paid into your Membership account unless other instructions are received.
