Take a few moments to answer these questions...

If you answer yes to most or some of these questions.......you may need help.

  • Do you avoid opening the mail?
  • Do you avoid answering the phone?
  • Do you have no money left the day you get paid?
  • Do you only pay the minimum on your credit cards each month
    - when you can?
  • Do you pay late fees?

  • Have debt collectors been in contact with you?

  • Have bailiffs been knocking at your door?

  • Have you received a court summons about a debt?
  • Are your household bills unpaid?

WARNING SIGNS OF DEBT PROBLEMS.....

..............You should be concerned if..........................

  • You don’t have any savings
  • You make minimum payments on your credit cards
  • You now use your credit cards for things you previously bought with cash e.g.groceries
  • You have more than two or three major credit cards
  • After you pay your credit card bill, you increase your balance (or top up) by the same amount, or more, the following month.
  • You are at or near your limit on your credit cards
  • You are unsure of the total amount you owe on all of your debts
  • You take out cash advances on your credit card to pay other bills
  • You have tried to make a purchase using your credit card, which was declined
  • You have been denied credit
  • You bounce cheques
  • You receive calls from debt collectors
  • You hide the truth from your partner or family about your spending
  • You hide statements (bank or credit card) from your partner or family

IF SOME OF THESE STATEMENTS APPLY TO YOU.......IT IS TIME TO TAKE ACTION.
